The store includes new toys, clothing, toiletries, stocking stuffers, and other items for children of all ages. We create a list of participating families, and parents are invited to come in and “shop” for Christmas gifts for their children at no cost. If a child attends Ponder ISD or the family has a Ponder ISD address, the parents are welcome to participate. During the event, each parent is escorted through the Santa Store by a volunteer who helps them shop. Once they have selected their gifts, they are taken to a wrapping station where volunteers help prepare the gifts for Christmas. Last year, approximately 150 children were served in just a few hours.
